Either General James Yoon has a WHOLE LOT of Friends/Fans/Supporters/Indentured Servants/Paid Lackeys etc who wanted to attend his OFFICIAL Bday Celebration at Mr. Mambo’s OR People saw DJ Jon Treviño’s Facebook Status of Intent to Debut NEW MUSIC he acquired via vinyl at Mr. Mambo’s OR Cats who Stayed Over from Kha Dang-Tran’s Mambo/Bachata House Party the night before swelled the numbers but whatever the reasons, close to THREE HUNDRED (300) Dancers came from Near AND FAR to Party with us!
Friendly Vibes on HIGH, Music was TURNT THE FREAK UP, The Salsa/Mambo AND Bachata Dancefloors STAYED Busy! MAJOR SHOUT-OUT to Peeps & Crews from Richmond, VA ( D.j. Aplus, John Christiansen,Ivy de Leon), Baltimore, VA Beach/Hampton Rds, New Jersey, New York City, Philly ( Blair Baxter & Jessica) San Francisco ( Vikram Narayan), & Israel (Medianoche Inspace) as well as The Home Grown Team from DC/MD/VA Representing Lovely on the Dance Floor! Much Love to the Guys from Acclaimed Dance Company Caribbean Soul ( Jose Luis, Ismael Otero, & Rodney) in the House MIXING IT UP on the dancefloor for the 2nd time this Month at Mr. Mambo’s!
Workshops were Packed with a lot of Happy Faces courtesy of General Yoon, Psyon Scott, Roberto Molina, & Tommy Smith! The Salsa/Mambo/Bachata Music was Pure FIYAH on 2 Dancefloors courtesy of DJ Vino, DJ Tico, & DJ Emerzive! In addition to the PACKED Birthday Dance for DC Style Salsa’s Lord and Mambo Savior General Yoon filled with all of the Lovelies Present, there was a Birthday Dance for up and coming Dancer Kha AND a GOODBYE & GOODLUCK Group Salsa Dance for the Lovely Sweet Mary Gates! To say this was a good night is an understatement- Another One To Pen in the Annals of DC Salsa/Mambo/Bachata Dance History Books!
