Recap. I had a FREAKING BLAST at Fierce Fridays Bachata Social Hosted by Ferocity Dance Company and Kat Arias! Extra friendly, relaxed vibe, good-looking crowd, lots of young people! The music was fantastic- DJ Emerzive aka Emerson Morales ROCKED THE HOUSE! He even played some great Mambo’s and Salsa’s each hour in between the majority Bachata Set.
I actually felt more adventurous with my bachata and I guess my partners could tell because they started doing tricky romantica and bachata-wiggly like stuff such as deep body rolls, dominican style footwork, and DIPS, yes dips. I actually had fun trying to follow all their tricks and I think I was able to come back on beat the majority of the time- YAY! With out hesitation or prodding from others, I stayed for more than 2 hours at a majority Bachata party and danced the majority of my time there- PROGRESS! Very Good Night and Fun, New Social to Add to DC’s Latin Dance Social Scene.
